Joe Stauffenberg
Play-by-Play Broadcaster
Hello and welcome to my website. I am a Play-by-Play Broadcaster and Studio Producer in addition to having experience in social media and audio production.
I am a South Jersey native that graduated from Rowan University in December of 2019 with a degree in Sports Communication and Media, and Radio/Television/Film, with a minor in Journalism. During my time at Rowan, I was apart of one of the premier college radio stations in the nation, Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM. The station has won over 300 awards since 1993, including in 1997 when WGLS was named College Station of the Year by the National Association of College Broadcasters. I provided Play-by-Play Commentary, Color Commentary, and In-Studio Producing for Football, Men's and Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Basketball, Baseball, and Softball. In 2018, I was named Sports Director of the station, along with Co-Operations Manager. Previously, I worked as the Promotions Director in 2017. During my time at WGLS, I won eight awards for my work on-air. In the summer of 2019, I interned with Wilmington Blue Rocks, the former Advanced-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals. I served as one of the In-Studio Producers for the season, and hosting a pregame and postgame show. I worked my way back to Rowan in early 2021 to broadcast the Delaware Blue Coats games to start the Blue Coats Broadcast Academy powered by Rowan Radio. In April of 2021, I was named the Sports Director of KJAM in Madison, SD. During my time in the Mount Rushmore State, I was the lead play-by-play broadcaster for Dakota State football and basketball, as well as Madison High School sports. Thank you for visiting and enjoy my website. |
